Breaking Stereotypes

If you look up the word ‘unconventional’ in the dictionary, don’t be surprised if you find a picture of Harry Garside.

Growing up in the working-class town of Lilydale, in regional Victoria, Harry picked up his first pair of boxing gloves at the tender age of just 9 – and it was love at first sight, or should we say, ‘glove at first sight’?

His rise to success was rapid, winning a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and securing a bronze during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.  At the top of his game, Harry continually challenges the status quo and breaks down stereotypes in the traditionally masculine sport.

Whether it’s through sport, alternative training methods, or his progressive dress sense – Harry aims to empower others to believe in themselves!

From painted nails to incorporating ballet into his training regime, Harry’s approach to fitness and well-being has been nothing short of inspiring.
